THE ART OF MEDITATION
Mixed media on canvas 40″ X 30″. The artist inspired by the love she developed by practicing yoga and meditation since the year 2001 with Master Tsai. She fell in love with it and later went to India to get certified as a Yoga Therapist (a healing yoga) and in England to learn the Vipassana Meditation Technique by Goenka an Indian Dali lama.
The goal of this painting is to demonstrate how through meditation you can step out from your ego and learn to observe yourself without being judgmental and eventually scan your body including all your organs for the purpose of healing your mind, your spirit and your body.
We know that low levels of serotonin cause depression. Meditation triggers the parasympathetic nervous system, which enables us to rest and recover from stress. Meditation boosts the immune system. As we reduce our stress, the immune system is boosted and so is our general well-being.
The Third Eye Chakra: This chakra has a very strong relationship with the pineal gland, which is found behind the third chakra. During ancient times, it was believed to be where ‘The Sight’ could be found.
